This paper concerns both, a development
of a software and a development of a peripheral for pressure and flow data
acquisition in hydraulic research. The program was developed using Delphi
language and the external communication was made by the computer’s
parallel port. A simple and low cost peripheral can be assembled by the
user with commercially available electronic components. For testing the
equipment, pressure was determined using silicon transducers, and flow by
means of an electromagnetic sensor. The program allows the user to choose
time interval between reading and display average values on the screen at
the end of a reading process. Data are stored in “.txt” format
